Mangaluru, Apr 12: Fr Richard Coelho blesse the new PFT-DLCO machine at Father Muller Medical College Hospital.
The machine gives a complete analysis of lung functioning and capacity of an individual as well as help in diagnosis of conditions like asthma COPD, ILD etc whose incidence rates are increasing day by day.
Fr Richard also blessed the 26 channel sleep study machine which helps in diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea and other sleep related disorders.
Dr Don Gregory Mascarenhas, head, department of respiratory medicine will be principally in-charge of these procedures which are his areas of expertise.
Fr Rudolf, administrator, FMMCH, Sr Janet, nursing in-charge, SR Malini, OPD in-charge were present for inauguration.
