Udupi, Feb 9: Udupi’s first mall ‘City Centre’ was inaugurated by B M Abbas on Saturday, February 9. City Centre is Udupi’s first mall by Udupi developers.

Speaking on the occasion Raghupathi Bhat, MLA of Udupi said, “I congratulate Jamaluddin for giving this beautiful mall to Udupi city. This is the first mall of Udupi. Udupi has many old buildings and structures, but amidst them this mall stands as a pride to the city. Many branded companies have started acquiring spaces in this mall. Today people visit malls to spend time. People of Udupi should make use of this mall,” he said.

Jerry Vincent Dias, president CREDAI on the occasion said, “Jamaluddin has created a miracle today. If a businessman wants to become successful he needs to be courageous. Jamaluddin has shown us that courage. This mall was a dream of Udupi people. Youth should aim to be self employed rather than depending upon the government to provide facilities”.

City Centre is the first full-fledged mall of Udupi. Many branded companies like Reliance Digitals, Reliance Smart are currently open to public. Soon U.S.Polo Assn, Easybuy, Max, Bata and many more will start operations. This mall has the widest parking facility for more than 175 vehicles at a time. Many infrastructures are built. For the next 50 years also we have sites and buildings. I am also a builder. So I know the hardships of constructing a building. Jamaluddin has faced many difficulties during the construction of this building. But at the end he has successfully completed it”.
