Mangalore, Sep 16: The state home minister is responsible for the total collapse of law and order in  coastal Karnataka, and  the failure of the state intelligence to warn of such a tragedy. Action must be taken against the district authorities while Christians, who are the victims of this tragedy, must not be targeted and the persons who were arrested on false charges should be released immediately, said Mahesh Bhat, head of the Citizens' Delegation and noted bollywood director.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday September 16,  he said that the team has noted allegations of involvement of the police, who caned a crowd protesting in front of the Milagres Hall on Sunday September 14.

Eye witnesses reported that they saw the police breaking the windows of some vehicles. The home minister Dr V S Acharya could not control the violence in his own district. Meanwhile, he has given statements supporting the fundamental elements. Therefore, the role of the police needs to be monitored, especially since they come under the home
ministry, he urged.

Dr Abraham Mathai, vice-chairman of Minority Commission of Maharashtra, Rons Bantwal, convener of the Christian United Movement of Karnataka in Mumbai, Joseph Dias, president of Catholic Secular Forum in Mumbai and others were present on the occasion.

Earlier, the delegation visited the churches and religious places where miscreants damaged properties and places were police resorted to caning.

The issue today is communal politics. It is BJP and Bajrang Dal entering churches helped by the state police as their protectors and damaging the houses of prayer. Development without security is a IRAQ story.

The US is giving out CASH / Business deals / pushing people in Iraq, BUT there is NO SECURITY. Prosperity without security and without communal harmony WHAT IS FOR AND WHERE WILL IT LEAD US.

I do not need the development of BJP and the Sang Parivar in KARNATAKA and not in MANGALORE. If we do not have option but the lazy, useless, corrupt congress party then that is a different story.. CLEAN THE CONGRESS PARTY. There are very many good and active people in Karnataka. Join the Congress and try and help the local people and drive development.

BJP IS NOT AN OPTION. You know what is happening in the UK? The trouble makers in the world were given asylum in UK as a safe passage few years back. Now they are acting inside UK and they do not know how to get these troubles out of UK.

Same is the future of Mangalore / Karnataka/India. IF TODAY WE ACCEPT THE SANGH PARIVAR/RSS/RAMA SENE/BAJARANG DAL / BJP and all the affiliates of the militant Organizations to rule over us then THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF A DEMOCRACY CALLLED INDIA.

We need peace and prosperity with peace and harmony as a priority. Progress without peace is PIECES and can not be called one piece. God Bless and save INDIAN DEMOCRACY.

I want to put forward my thoughts into the present debate about communal issues and reason out as to the factors contributing to making the Congress party as the saviour of minorities. In My analysis, the main reason congress was voted out of power was because of its lethargy , in fighting, lack of governance and lazy politicians mainly from coastal regions.

Since there was no other viable alternative party( devegouda and company of Mannina Magas were despicable), BJP was the choice for majority of the people of Karnataka who want development and who want progress of the state and not to have nightmares of Jokers like JD coming to power again. Voting BJP to power was for development of state and nothing else!

If BJP has squandered that power that is another story. Lets not cosy upto the congress just because they want to take mileage of the situation and behave as our saviors. Even if entire minority community votes for congress , it wont come to power.

I am not saying this because I am for or against Congress. A child playing truant gets spanking from the parent. This is for the childs own good. Us Mangaloreans , particulary from minority communities should heavily criticize Congress when it is not doing its job at every level not because we are against it but because that is the only way we can help it remain good and start doing development in the region.

If PALEMAR can do it why haven’t the previous congress govts not done? ( by the way I am a fan of PALEMAR). SO IN CONCLUSION: WE HAVE BROUGHT THIS ON OURSELVES- LETS START TALKING ABOUT DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES AND START TAKING CONGRESS TO TASK, IN PARTICULAR FERNANDES FROM UDUPI . ALL WE HAVE SEEN HERE ARE OSCAR PERFORMING FEW YOGASANAS ! I URGE MANGALOREAN TEAM TO INVITE LOCAL POLITICIANS TO PARTICIPATE IN DEBATES ON DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES. LET THE COMMUNAL ISSUES TAKE BACK SEAT AS OF NOW AND LET THE CRIMINALS GET THEIR PUNISHMENT.
