Mangaluru: Skill Development Centre to be inaugurated at World Konkani Centre on Feb 24

Mangaluru, Feb 23: Kishore Kulkarni, chairman of NKGSB Bank will inaugurate NKGSB Bank Centenary Skill Development Centre at World Konkani Centre here on February 24 at 12.00 pm.

Rajan Bhat, director, NKGSB Bank will be the guest of honour. Basti Vaman Shenoy, president and founder of World Konkani Centre along with other functionaries of the both institutions will also be present on the occasion.

The Skill Development Centre sponsored by NKGSB Bank under its centenary celebration is in support of initiatives by World Konkani Centre in the past several years. World Konkani Centre under its KSHAMATA academy has been imparting skill development programmes of various levels to thousands of students from professional and conventional disciplines. It has imparted more than 20,000 mandays of trainings in the past 7 years.

The NKGSB Centenary Skill Development Centre comprising of state-of-the-art training halls will enhance the capacity of World Konkani Centre with its already existing facilities such as auditorium, language lab, library and residential hostel.

NKGSB Cooperative Bank was established in September 1917 and completed its 100 years last September. The bank had a business mix of about Rs 12,000 crore in the last financial year. It has 105 branches all over the country.
