Most of the policemen have learnt only to beat the suspect and open their mouth. They do not know other skills to find out the truth. Some hardcore criminals also will not open their mouth even with severe beating. This might lead to death. There are also many instances police have beaten innocents. Recently in Ryan school student murder case same thing happened.
Police reforms needs to be brought urgently and police system needs to be revamped.

BJP government is known for these type of fake encounters under Gujarat model. Innocents are framed and killed right under our nose. Public silence is encouraging that anyone can be arrested and made to confess crime he didn't commit by third degree treatment. Later accused is killed in custody and evidence destroyed and pronounced guilty!

There are many died in police custody in India. After coming from police custody some commit suicide. Most of the people who enters police custody cannot do hard work during their life time.

Some times innocent people for enquiry police take them to custody police give the same punishment to them.

Is it not possible to avoid physical punishment. Government can take some other steps or put them in prison and enquire them.

Reforms in police dept is the need of the hour....All police station inside & outside should be covered by CCTV, controlled & to be veiwed jointly by human rights Dept & senior police dept in their head quarters. Shoulder cams should be made cumpulsory for every policeman.
Otherwise this is hell for common citizens...
