Firstly, I pray to Almighty to bear the loss of loved one of his parents in this tragedy.

I would like request the village panchayat need to address this issue swiftly. When district face acute water shortage during summers despite heavy rains this water logged pond if managed properly can become boon for the water scarcity.
THis is collective decision of people of the village. If contractor bares some responsibility in terms funding this queries will be good water resources and help in groundwater charging.
Instead of building fences around it should be used as water tanks. It can be also used for breeding sweet water fish.

    Very sad news. RIP.
I suggest that in all places the garbage must dump in this . In Mangalore also instead of Vamanjoor. Garbage must dump in stone quarry places . Just like reclamation.
