Mangaluru, May 17: City police commissioner, S Chandra Sekhar, said that the personnel of his department are searching for the other accused, Rakesh, in the case in which a senior doctor of a reputed hospital in the city was pressurized to cough up Rs 14 lac, and the lady involved with the crime. He was addressing a press conference here on Tuesday May 16.

"The police have arrested Narayana Salian (52) from Someshwar, as well as Muhammed Ranji (23) and Sadiq (30), both from Ullal, in the case. We are searching for Rakesh, two other accomplices, and the the lady through whom the doctor was lured into the trap. The accused had collected Rs 14 lac from the doctor by threatening to sully his image through social media. They also had bought goods worth about Rs 3 lac after taking into possession a credit card belonging to the doctor," he explained.

He said that Narayana Salian, who is one among the prime accused, had been involved with criminal cases in the past too. He was one of the participants in the shootout incidents targetting Muttappa Rai and Rakesh Malli in the past, the police commisisoner revealed.

One of the accused, Ranji, had lured a doctor of a leading hospital by laying honey-trap. With the help of a lady, he was asked to visit a spot in the city from where he was abducted and taken to a room at Someshwar. He was denuded there and his photos in the company of the lady in different postures were taken. By threatening the doctor of posting these pictures in social websites, the gang had forced him to pay Rs 14 lac to them. After they came up with demand for more money, the doctor had filed police complaint in Kadri station.

Honey trapping is turning out to be big muticrore biz nowadays!
Just yesterday, as per news reports, a big gang who have extorted crores of rupees from different people using same modus operandi was busted, the honey was a 21 year old working as DJ for a reputed hotel in Mumbai!!

They target victims who have lots of black/spare money n who have a propensity to have some fun time not knowing the consequences!!

Most victims budge in to save their souls, only some dare to complain as the extortion demand becomes too exorbitant!!
It's a wakeup call to all guys holding lots of moolah to beware of unknown females or men whose background is not known!! Also, many people in land mafia (trading) r with dubious backgrounds, take extreme care when dealing with them too!!

General public thinking now is - Doctor has better IQ than a common man. Unless he has some itch and tendency it may not be possible for common people to demonstrate How to trap a Doctor.

By the by, why the words like "Popular Doctor" of "Popular Hospital" with "Extra-Popular itch"... Why can't you straight away name him. You have no hesitation to publicize the Political people irrespective of their respect and age etc... !!!!
