Mangaluru: Vincent Fernandes' ‘Mogachi Lahran’ musical nite at Cascia on Feb 5

Mangaluru, Feb 2: Well-known musician Vincent Fernandes is all set to hold his 19th musical nite ‘Mogachi Lahran’ at Cascia School Grounds on Sunday, February at 6 pm.

From dance to singing and acting, music to events, 'Mogachi Lahran' is all about trying to find a new meaning to entertainment. With its inception in the year 2000, Mogachi Lahran puts new talents from the Mangalurean community through personalized training, fostering the right exposure to talented individuals in the field of music, singing and dance.

Vincent Fernandes Cascia has already released nine albums in Konkani and has organized 18 musical nites across the globe. Now, he is back with his team again, to revive it all again. Also, his 10th musical album will be released on the same day.

The following artistes will perform in the musical nite :

Vincent Mathais Cascia, Jerry D’souza Bajjodi, Nehal Tauro, Denver Pinto and Jyotsna from Mangaluru, Preema Rodrigues, Bryan Fernandes and Joseph Mathias from Dubai. 

The nite will also include performances from Konkani veteran singers Konkan Kalashri Claude D’Souza and Yodeling King Melwyn Peris adding the cherry on the top to the team of talented artists.

To illuminate the nite further with talents, these artists will be accompanied by the Mogachi Lahran Cascia team brining out colours to the melody of the nite with music by Dolvin Kolalgiri and group. Blue Angels group will perform in the nite. 

Special support from Praveen and Glen Tauro will further enhance the beauty of the nite.

Vibrant host Floyd D’Mello Cascia  will guide the audience through the musical nite. Lavita Menezes and Vincent Mendonca will support him.

About Vincent Fernandes

Vincent is the founder and chairperson of Mogachi Lahran troupe. He released the 1st and 2nd volume of his music album at the young age of 21 in Kuwait. He has successfully released a total of nine music albums and one devotional music album in the past 20 years.Well-known singers like Vijay Yesudas, Aparna Mayekar have rendered their voice for Vincent Fernandes’ albums.


Vincent's 10th musical album 

Vincent has been bestowed with the title of ‘King of Tunes’ by Pernal Group, Dubai in the year 2005. He has scripted and organised 12 shows officially in and around UAE and 25 shows unofficially including churches of Dubai, Sharjah and Jebel Ali. Vincent initiated the first-of-its-kind Baila dance competition by name “Naach Baila Naach”.

He has an eye for identifying and recognising new upcoming Konkani singers. He has chosen, trained and promoted over 14 budding singers. He has 65 children in his ‘Mogachi Lahran’ troupe whom he trains in dance and music. He has given these children a stage to come forward and grow in Konkani culture.

Vincent’s composition has also reached Kannada Film Industry. His compositions also include Tulu and Hindi songs which prove his multilingual abilities in composition.

His recent achievement includes the launch of the first ever Konkani web serial. With this Vincent has reached a new level in Konkani music and entertainment world. ‘Lisanvaanchi Lahran’ (Waves of Knowledge) will be an experiment of 12 episodes based on fiction written and directed by Vincent himself. He has also acted in the serial.
