Mumbai, Jan 30: Mumbai University Kannada department and Mysore Association Mumbai inaugurated a book about author and thinker Vishwanath Karnad written by dramatist Dr Bharathkumar Polipu on Saturday January 28.

At the programme chaired by Kannada department head Dr G S Upadhya in the presence of Dr Vishwanath Karnad, Mysore association working committee member and trustee K Manjunathayya released the book.

Justice B N Srikrishna, critic Dr Mamatha Rao, Kannada department, Mumbai University research assistant Y V Madhusoodan Rao, Dr Manjunathayya, Dr G V Kulkarni, advocate Vasanth Kalakote, Omdas Kannangar, S K Sunder, Surendrakumar Marnad, Avinash Kamath, literature lovers and others were present.

Dr Vishwanath Karnad presented a flower bouquet to Dr Polipu and congratulated him.

Shailaja Madhusoodan sang a prayer song. Kannada department assistant Dr Poornima Sudhakar Shetty introduced the book. Dr Jyothi Sathish compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
