Bengaluru beats US Silicon Valley to become world's most dynamic city

Bengaluru, Jan 18 (Agencies) : Bengaluru has pipped Silicon Valley in the United States to become world's most dynamic city, as per a report by real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle

The City Momentum Index-2017 released by JLL “Technology continues to be a major driver of momentum in the world's 30 fastest-changing cities. These cities provide fertile environments for innovation and successfully integrate into global networks, often outperforming their national economies.”

The JLL report which is being discussed at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, states that India has taken over from China as home to some of the world's most dynamic cities.

Six Indian cities feature in the CMI Global Top 30, with the country's primary technology hub, Bangalore moving into the top spot for the first time, followed by Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Silicon Valley in the United States.

Hyderabad, at fifth, is the only other Indian city in the top 10.

Cities in India, China and Vietnam, along with several in the US, head the list of the world's fastest changing cities.

Amidst all the negative news/negative publicity that Bengaluru is facing at present, this happy news is sure to gladden every Bengalurean's heart. Hope all of Bengaluru's stakeholders try to build up on all the positive strengths and sincerely strive to overcome the weaknesses, one by one.

This has nothing to do with the political parties.. This is only because of entrepreneurs like Azim Premji, Narayan Murthy, Kiran Shaw Majumdar, Dr. Devi Shetty etc. and many MNC's who have set up their IT operations in Bangalore..

It mainly due to the intelligent people of Bangalore and Karnataka state as a whole..

Political parties please do not try take any credit for this achievement.

This is not a good news for BJP and its wings.
They will plan to hatch a conspiracy to bring bad name to current govt by creating religious unrest or assault on women.

Good. Now we have people quarreling about who gets the credit. Can't you for once just sit back and relax. Unnecessary stress and quarrels are bad for health.

Really amused and appalled to see Dongi DW dynast supporting commentators BLINDLY applauding Siddu and Georgie when they have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what is happening in Bengaluru. It is the sheer dedication and will power of the entreprenuers of this great city and the strong will to overcome adversities.

Whether Congress or BJP or JDS, they only SWALLOWED the income and taxes from the city, nothing else!

During the previous government Bengaluru was garbage city. No money to pay BBMP employees salaries; Many building mortgaged. But look at the administration now.....
"The 125 year-old Mayo Hall was given back to BBMP by HUDCO on Saturday. The state government rescued the forever fund-starved Palike by repaying Rs 435 crore to the financial institution.
This iconic building was mortgaged along with nine other properties including the KR Market complex and Kempegowda Museum by the Corporation to raise loans at cheaper interest rates during 2011-12 and 2012-13 when BJP was in power in the council..............................."

Bangalore gained importance after IT/BT was introduced by SM Krishna, slowly it turned into an IT hub with the growth in real Estate,.

JDS had contributed with the formation of BBMP.

During the time of BJP the Garden City was turned to Garbage City.
