It's a good news for the parishioners of Shirva and the near by areas as well.

It's indeed to hear the "truth" from Sorake Sir (MLA) for lauding the Catholic Community for its service to society especially in giving quality education (basic and higher).

Catholic Community is serving in healthcare sector too to a certain extent by building hospitals etc.,

Our present C.M Siddaramaiah has allocated Rs 125 crore for the development of the Christian community.....It's again a good news...but the money has to be released if not at one go at-least by installments!!! Merely giving promises/allocations won't do Sorake Sirjee as the same case happened earlier too for the Community at Karnataka!!! Nothing new...It's your duty to see the things works in reality this time!!!

His grace Bishop Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo has a vision for the newly carved Diocese of Udupi from Mangalore Diocese.

We do have currently a good team of scholars with him and together we as a community will achieve success at all levels and Udupi Diocese will reach greater heights in building the community and serving for the communities needs be it educational or healthcare in the coming years with co-operation of all parishioners throughout the Diocese and by the local support. It will take some time/years but we can achieve it.

Thanks to Salesians of Don Bosco for taking this small step to build the community. This is a small step in the initial stage because presently their presence at Udupi & Mangalore is not much!!!. But they are determined to expand because the way they work. We have seen them how do they(Salesians of Don Bosco) function at Mumbai-region and other regions of the country.

All the best to people who are in-charge(Fr. Simao Fernandes & his team involved) at all levels to build this project.
