Dubai: Dr Benazir Ameer Ali speaks at IMTEC

Dubai, Oct 17: Dr Benazir Ameer Ali, director of Thumbay International Medical and Health Tourism department spoke at International Medical Travel Exhibition and Conference (IMTEC) 2015, held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on October 7 and 8.

Speaking on the topic 'Innovative Practices in International Patient Care,' on the second day of the conference, Dr Benazir said that currently Thumbay Medical Tourism received enquiries from a wide range of clientele including hospitals, medical practitioners, partnered agents and various enquiry forwarding websites from across the globe. “Understanding that medical tourists may come from numerous backgrounds, we constantly update to offer them personalised services and make them feel at home,” she said.

Dr Benazir remarked that the fact that Thumbay/GMC Group of Hospitals’ have experience handling patients from across 175 nationalities, with its staff drawn from over 22 nationalities and speaking more than 50 languages as well as its excellent range of personal amenities and services for medical tourists had given it a definite edge as far as medical tourism was concerned. She further said that JCI Accreditation for Thumbay Group’s hospitals, the CAP accreditation for the Group’s laboratories, the multiple medical tourism accreditations and memberships for Thumbay Medical Tourism and the various awards and recognitions won at the international level set them a class apart.

IMTEC is an annual exhibition which helps exhibitors to increase the profile of their medical facility overseas and gain a foothold in the fast-paced medical travel industry. More than 100 exhibitors showcased their services to attendees, delegates and buyers this year, which was the third edition so far.
