Udupi, Jan 21: Katapady Ashok Muddu Suvarna is bringing out a Kannada serial depicting the complete story of the legendary twin heroes, Koti-Chennaya, under the banner of Praja Films.

In a press release, Suvarna has stated that all preliminary work has been completed with only location shooting left to be executed. He has also said that it would be a big-budget project with well-known Kannada artistes in the cast.

About 35 years ago, the late Katapady Muddu Suvarna, under the same Praja Films banner, had produced 'Koti Chennaya' movie in Tulu, with Vaman and Subhas as Koti and Chennaya and the late 'Twinkle Star' Kalpana as their sister. The film had won the state film award.

During the later years, his son Ashok M Suvarna produced 'Chomana Dudi' in Kannada, which was based on a novel of the same name by the late Gyan Pith award recipient Kota Shivarama Karanth. It won the national-level Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus) award.

Ashok Suvarna is venturing into the small screen for the first time.
