Begging with Goverment is of no use. I request some people of our society like Dr. Mohan Alva, Dr. B. R. Shetty, Veerendra Heggade etc to divert their attention much given to the cultural activities to this severe problem that is threatening the life of Human being. Farmer only grows the food for human to survive.

What if no Farmer around ?

Everybody left agriculture and see a safe place in city. Not only that. They also advise others NOT to do profitless agriculture. In one sense they are right. But agriculture is not a one man show.

One more thing that killed agriculture is Middlemen. Travel along the coastal belt. Identify the middlemen. Compare the living conditions of farmers and the middlemen.... You will get the real picture.

If such trend continues in India, we will end up with no one to cultivate grains. India has to depend on importing food grains.

On one hand we have our Farmers who toil 24/7 on the land, so that we could have food on the table, and we are letting them die like this.

    and

On the other hand we have our politicians and bureaucrat's whom we have elected and they are literally taking the foods from our children’s mouths and minting money at everybody's expense.

Farming is a very dedicated yet very competitive profession. Farming needs Government subsidies specially nowadays when the global climate is changing and each year brings more constraints on farming.

The world is now focused on the Industrial advancement giving high priority on technology and brining more prosperity thru manufacturing and trading.

The farmers therefore are always on the loosing side of the game, and when each year brings more devastation to the crop and the yield, the farmer is left with no option but end his or her life. It is sad but it is a fact that each one of us have to appreciate and render our hand of help to a farmer in whichever way possible.

Being farmers in India ourselves, we know our strengths and our weaknesses, but we need to remain focused on our objectives and remain satisfied with what we have and what we get.

Terribly frustrating news. Very proudly, every year the list of the billionaires less than 100 in India is published as the "India shining" publicity but here we see "India crying".

19483 in Karnataka alone. When totaling the number from every State of the Union, how many thousands?

BJP spent billions for election from the money they have made.
Congress made enough fortunes for their next 7 generations.
People who came to serve us have made us their servants.
VHP/RSS have tons of money for re-conversions, but will give nothing to these dying farmers.
If missionaries help them, saffron brigade will accuse them of conversions.
Food grain growers will die in debt, but tobacco, liquor companies and drug dealers will flourish in this land.
