Udupi, Jul 12: Even as the Mangalorean community is under anxiety and tension after the serial blasts that ripped through the commercial city of Mumbai on Tuesday July 11 evening, death of one more person, hailing from Sastan near Brahmavar here, has been reported on Wednesday.
Francis Lewis, aged 55, son of the late John Lewis and Stella Lewis of Balkudru near Sastan here has died in the tragedy. Family sources and Sion Hospital sources have confirmed the news.
He was returning home on Tuesday evening when the blasts rocked the city. He was employed with Voltas Company and had settled in Mumbai along with his wife Precilla (nee Barnes from Matpady, Brahmavar) and children Joyal and Shaila.
His final rites will be held in the Church of Our Lady of Nazareth, Bhayander, Mumbai at 3-00 pm (instead of 10-00 am as announced earlier) on Thursday, July 13.
