Thank You : Margaret's family gets Rs 6.12 lac to build house

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Apr 22: Readers of daijiworld, with their immense generosity and unmatched large-heartedness, have time and again come forward to support humanitarian causes and give new lease of life to every individual in need of help. The recent appeal for help for Margaret and family of Beltangady has proved this yet again.

The response from the readers, within 72 hours of the appeal being flashed on daijiworld, has shown the world that 'we are all humans, and we need to help people who are in dire need'.

The family was expecting only Rs 3.5 lac to build a decent house, and thereby live a happy and peaceful life. But the family is extreme fortunate to get Rs 6.12 lac, almost double the amount required, from daijiworld readers.

"We have truly seen God in the form of readers of daijiworld this Easter; we have not seen them, we do not know who they are, neither do they know us. This is pure humanity. I think we are the most fortunate people in this world," said Margaret, her eyes welling with tears when she realised that more than sufficient funds had been received in her bank account.

"I can say only THANK YOU for responding to my appeal in which we sought financial aid to construct a house. All our lives that we will be indebted to all those who supported us; we will keep them in our prayers," said, Margaret, extending immense gratitude to the donors.

Daijiworld published an article on April 13, about the poor financial condition of the generous family, residents of Beltangady who help others despite their dire condition. In the appeal they had yearned for support to rebuild their house that is on the verge of collapse.

"We always believed in helping others, and have always done whatever we could within our capacity. Now the Almighty has rewarded us in our time of need, through the Good Samaritans in the form of daijiworld readers," she said.

Margaret specially mentioned Richard D'Souza from Pangala - Shankarpura who guided her to approach daijiworld when she had no other means to realise her dream of a new house. "He helps us a lot, he is a well-wisher of the family who has also shouldering the responsibility of my sister Reeta's studies. Reeta is pursuing BCA in SDM College Ujire," says Margaret

The family plans to take up the construction work after April 25, with the support of an NGO and St Vincent Paul Society of their parish. They have also sought guidance from Richard to continue the work.

"We will not spend all the money on building the house; surplus money we might donate to other needy people or use according to people's suggestions. We will abide by what donors say," she said.

We at daijiworld take this opportunity to thank our readers for reaching out to the needy family within no time. Our generous readers are our pride. You have always encouraged and supported us in such causes. With this appeal, daijiworld is now approaching a figure of Rs 8 crore of charity generated through various appeals through this website.

We will continue our mission, as long as you support us.

Thank you and may God bless us all.

Good Job Daiji and all donors
I believe this is a better way to reach out to the needy rather than giving money in the hands of religious who have let us down so badly with scams, arrogance, no accountability, murders and many more. The other best option is to donate to St. Vincent Paul Society.
