UAE holds talks with Germany, Japan, South Africa


Abu Dhabi, Feb 16 (IANS/WAM): Officials from the UAE have met their counterparts from Germany, Japan and South Africa to discuss ways to promote relations.

In Berlin, Ambassador of the UAE to Germany, Juma Mubarak Al-Jenaibi, met Heiko Thomas, director of the German Foreign Minister's Office.

In Pretoria, cooperation between the UAE and South Africa were discussed by Ambassador of the UAE Hamad Hareb Al-Habsi and South African Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Fatima Ismail Chohan.

In Abu Dhabi, the UAE's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan received Yuriko Koike, member of Japan's House of Representatives and chairwoman of the UAE-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Association.

Koike gave an overview of the work of the association and its role in promoting relations between the two countries.
