Ukraine Wants UAE Investments for its Market

Abu Dhabi, Nov 27 (IANS/WAM): Ukranian President Viktor Yanukovych has called on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) investors' fraternity to invest in various industries of his country.

Stating that strategic cooperation with the UAE was one of the top priorities of his country, the visiting president called on the UAE to pump more investment into Ukraine's industry, future energy, minerals, oil and gas equipment, agriculture, infrastructure, aviation and many other sectors.

Addressing the UAE-Ukraine Business and Investment Forum here, Yanukovych said: "The series of agreement Ukraine signed today with the UAE will contribute to attract UAE investment into Ukraine's market as the investment climate in Ukraine is more welcoming to foreign investment."

"The government offers packages of incentives to foreign companies and investors," he added.
