It was inaugurated by B Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, chairman – BA Group, India in the presence of  Thumbay Moideen, founder president of Thumbay Group, UAE,  B Abdullah Kunhi, Akbar Moideen Thumbay, director –operations Healthcare and Retail Division and Akram Moideen Thumbay, Director- Thumbay Builders and other members of the Thumbay Group.

Dr Benazir Ameer Ali will spearhead as the director – administration of the newly inaugurated Medical Tourism Department.

“Medical Tourism is one of the most rapidly growing fields in health care.  Our vision is to have more than 100 support staff and representative offices in more than 20 countries,while we aim to target 1000 patients a day in our hospitals in UAE, and to be known as the best hospital for medical tourism in the UAE ”, commented Dr. Benazir Ameer Ali.

 “At GMC Hospital, we treat the patient as our guest. We help our patients in visa processing, flight bookings if required, coordinate the travel and stay and at times help in individual requirements too”, said Dr Benazir Ameer Ali. 

She also added, “ Suitable cost estimates are prepared keeping in mind the patients requirements. All costs for treatment are closely monitored by the competent hospital authorities to assist the patient.  The hospital maintains a feedback book whereby patients pen valuable suggestions and experience during their visit and stay in hospital.”
