Mangalore: Electrifying 'Star Nite' Drives Crowds into Frenzy

Mangalore, Sep 10: Kadri Cricketers on Sunday September 9 once again hosted a fabulous star-studded night, complete with musical extravaganza and a host of celebrities from Sandalwood who came down to the city and sizzled the crowds.

Under the able leadership of Kadri Manohar Shetty and the associates of Kadri Cricketers, the seventh year 'Star Nite' saw divine blessings in the form of showers; despite which singer Shubodh entertained the audience with wonderful numbers.

RJ Varsha of BIG FM welcomed the gathering and started off the programme. The crowds were spellbound by the performances of Akansha Badami and Sangeetha Rajeev.

The mike baton then passed on to the Numero Uno RJ of Mangalore RJ Vishwas (BIG FM) who has been hosting this event for the past seven years. He was welcomed with a huge applause. VJ Anushree the girl from coastal city who is presently in the Garden City was welcomed by Vishwas and the duo compered the programme par excellence.

Star Nite witnessed a huge gathering of stars from the field of cinema, music, real estate and politics.

Rohan Monteiro, MD of Rohan Corporation and Harish Sherigar were felicitated with businessmen of the year award. To mark the contribution made by renowned singers and musicians, Kadri Cricketers honoured V Sridhar and Tippu with best music director and best singer awards, and Akansha Badami and Santosh with upcoming talent awards. A special recognition was also given to Dr Nitin Acharya and Sangeetha Rajeev. Lakmesh Bhandary of Bhandary builders also shared the dais.

Manikanth Kadri and Shubodh were also felicitated. Special invitees Nandakishore Sudheer (director) and cameran Sudhakar were feted.

The programme was followed with special performances by Tippu, Sangeetha, Nithin, Manikanth Kadri and Vismaya Vinayak (Tamashe Factory fame) . V Sridhar music director and Harish Sherigar entertained the crowd with peppy numbers.

Special performances were rendered by X Zone, Boyzone, Section 8, and Ocean Kids. It was a treat to watch the performances of the new Ocean Kids.
