Kundapur: Murder Accused Arrested

Kundapur, Apr 22: Moodalagiri Gowda alias Raju from Turuvekere in Tumkur district, who has been accused of murdering a person near Sangam in the outskirts of the town last month, has been arrested.  He was produced in the court on Friday April 20.

He has been accused of murdering Siddesh alias Raju (30) from Karakada village, Belur taluk, Hassan district, with an eye on money Raju had in his possession. The murderer, a truck driver by profession, had loaded the mortal remains of Raju on his truck, after hitting him with the help of an iron wheel spanner. On March 7, after fuel in his truck got exhausted, he had parked the truck at the bend by the side of Moolemane in Tumkur. Some locals, who saw the lifeless body in the truck, had alerted the local policemen.

The case was registered in Turuvekere police station in Tumkur in this respect, and later transferred to Kundapur, as the murder in question had occurred within the jurisdiction of the police station here.
