Acknowledgements: Duming Family Thanks Donors

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Oct 5: Daijiworld readers have once again responded overwhelmingly to an appeal seeking help, this time for Duming Tauro’s family published on September 4, 2011(Dogged by Poverty, Mental Illness Duming Family Seeks Support). In a gesture of benevolence, generous help has poured in for the family which so far has received about Rs 4 lac from readers.

Dumingo Tauro's family have conveyed their gratitude to all those readers who responded positively to the appeal, saying their generosity would go a long way in providing some respite to the family to overcome their hardships. They have expressed their thanks to the entire Daijiworld team for highlighting their plight and also to Joel Fernandes who took the initiative and who has taken up the responsibility of guiding the family in using the funds in a judicious way.

The family says the funds would be used for digging a borewell and for repairing their house which is in a dilapidated condition. Some funds will be kept in fixed deposit so that the family has some security and a regular income in the form of interest.

Once again, on behalf of the entire Daijiworld team we convey our gratitude to our readers for their generosity and altruism. Together we can contribute in our own little way to create a better society.

Florine, God bless you. Daiji, you are a beacon of hope for a lot. All donators, May God bless you a hundredfold. Me, I am only doing what anyone else would do to help without the need for the credits which Daiji has given me. I have a small Facebook Group in the name of Faith in Action. I would like you all to join there if you so will, and let us continue to be a blessing for lot others. Daiji deserves a pat on the back for supporting these noble causes.

Kudos to team Daijiworld. You have shown a different side of media and taught how media can be responsible and co-operative to the needy in the society. Great work Daijiworld. This helps a lot to the donors who want to donate but don't know it's genuine or not. Keep up the good work. Good initiative by Joel Fernandes.

I am proud of our community and more than that Daiji's efforts to collect funds for various needy people, not only catholics but also for other community. We all are human-beings and you have done an excellent job, Daiji. I believe in helping these sort of poor innocent people rather than raising funds for our lavish buildings with all sorts of modern comforts. Daiji, to some extent, you are really walking into the foot-step of Jesus. God Bless.
