Aug 10: Dakshina Kannada reports 17 Covid cases, three infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Aug 10: Mangaluru/Udupi, Aug 10: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, August 10, reported 17 new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,378 out of which 62 are currently active. As many as 18 patients were discharged on August 10.

One death was reported on August 10. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,857.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 2.11 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on August 10. The total active Covid cases are 31.

A total of 10,90,130 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,83,655 have received both doses and 1,97,532 people have received booster doses.
