NOW we have unfortunately someone dying in tragic circumstances.. There is a mention of over speeding.. .. But a basic speed of 40 kms per hour ... ( ..Agreed if full of potholes cannot go .above 10 or 20 .) .. But normally it would be most basic ..40 kms .. This means the travel per second is 40 feet approximately.. If there is a sudden obstacle.. say pitch hole .. no time to react ..by momentum one possibly gets thrown To distances 50 feet etc etc .. So we cannot conclude he was riding fast ...

The case has to be registered against the corporation. The cause of the accident and death is due to the bad road and pothole. the tax is paid for maintaining the roads. The public has to fight for this and any road accident due to bad roads, the compensation has to be claimed from corporation.

With due respect to the departed soul, I think we as individual should ponder over the repeated casualties that are occuring. Yes I agree road conditions are bad, but as a rider we should also have road sense and have a speed limit along with Helmet. In this particular case there is starement stating that the scooter jumped 50 ft across the the divider. In other words the rider in this monsoon period was riding at speed much above the normal. Parent and RTO officials have to be strict before handing vehicle and licence to young people

Most of majority 2 wheel riders don't wear helmets in Mangalore. Lane discipline is not there. Lot of minors drive without License.

Who is responsible for this? Our beloved MP and MLA's should be made responsible for this. Pathetic roads. Just by giving compensation we cannot close this case. Our MP's and MLA's should be held responsible for this mishap and tragedy.

A needless tragedy and his family suffers with the great loss ... There are fines for signal jumping.. no helmet .. no seat belt ..etc etc etc But poor construction of roads ....officers .. contractors and connected persons to be hauled up .. made to pay exemplary fines .. Cancel license ...cancel promotions .. benefits .. Then only there will be accountability.. But present situation since it is 40 % top to bottom will not happen .... All silly reasons are given as though Rider was at fault ...

If the scoter could jump 50ftjust imagine the speed No-2 .You know its rainign, Mangalore roads are in bad shape why you need to go speed . @ wheelers or any vehicle driver needs to caution during this time. No:3 ; Who are you going to blame l@ wheeler driver, road or MCC?

A case is registered against whom? What will the enquiry be on??? If he was drunk? On mind altering substances? Or if there was a third party involved??? When will we as people evolve to the point when cases are made against those who build roads unscientifically? The leaders, The officers etc. When will we start holding such people accountable?

Wear helmets ,Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. during rainy season just because you are bored sitting at home. Look" before" you change the lane ..Not "after" you change the lane. its common here to enter first and then see if any vehicle is moving . I think there is complete lack of basic common sense in India while driving. Anyway .. Om Shanthi to the departed soul
