Mumbai, Aug 5: Mumbai university Kannada department and I Lesa held a programme of reading performance and art workshop at Tilak Bhavan, Santacruz east on Friday afternoon, August 5.

Veteran drama artist Mohan Marnad inaugurated the programme. Head of the department of Kannada in Mumbai University Dr G N Upadhya presided over the programme. I Lesa Mumbai convener, background singer Surendra Kumar Marnad spoke about voice and background singer Avinash Kamath spoke about the art of reading.

Veteran drama artiste Narayana Shetty Nandalike, K V Aithal, Madhusudhan R, Kannda department senior students Kala Bhagwath, Surekha H Devadiga, Anita P Poojary, Surekha Shetty and others were present. Nalina Prasad read a meaningful poem.

Kannada department M A first year students for 2022 were welcomed. Kannada department assistant professor Dr Poornima S Shetty introduced the resource persons, compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
