Goods vehicles above the weight of 16,200 kgs have to use any other route except the two mentioned in the above.

Wherever the road passes through loose soil on the sides will be heavily prone to landslides unless retaining gabion walls are built, which thought should have first come to the minds of the engineers as the entire western ghats are well known for heavy torrential rains!!

The most vital link at Manzerabad fort junction should have been taken up on war footing ..retaining wall etc etc ..water channels .. road banking .. Culverts etc .. IT is a chicken neck area .... Now the neck is wringed off.. All other roads could have been delayed if required ..Hassan to saklespur... Now everyone is cut off ..

We are experiencing this avoidable inconvenience due to lack of vision of political class... Tunnel project envisaged now could have taken shape much earlier and much more cheaper... Instead we chose to load the fragile mountain edges with ever increasing and unchecked wheel loads... Illegal mining and excavations are also contributing... Looks like we are actively hacking our own ankles...

Corruption staring back not landslides--- --- Good highway engineers not consulted -- retaining walls which are built to last are not constructed -- Should not use terms like world class infrastructure -- which we hear in speeches -- THIRD CLASS --A national shame-- Bullock cart roads of yester years used to be designed better -
