Udupi: Bus falls into ditch, providential escape for passengers

Udupi, Jul 2: A private bus that was plying from Udupi to Mangaluru fell into roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the vehicle. 

The incident occurred opposite Brahma Baidarkala Garadi at Hejmady on NH 66 on Saturday July 2.

Some passengers in the bus received minor injuries. No fatalities were reported.

Padubidri station officer Purushotham and personnel rushed to the spot and did the needful.

    Bus sure went on the wrong side.. Must be there was block so driver in a hurry ...so he took =the mud road on the wrong side. Public should trash the driver

    Just like Agnipath, our DK ,and UDUPI must start a programme of one year for Drivers as " DRIVING PATH. All driver must take a certificate and join for job.

    does not matter..we are subagas of dk and udupi so we will not protest, fight or ask administration to look into the speeding buses..nor we hold protests directly on road like kerala so that the private bus operators will be taught a lesson...so let the acche dins continue...
