Kasargod, Jul 1: Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested three more accused in connection with the murder case of gulf returnee Aboobacker Siddique (32), native of Seethangoli Mugu. The total number of arrested has reached five with the arrest of the three people.
The arrested accused are identified as Riyaz Hassan (33), Abdul Razak (46) and Aboobacker Siddique (33). Abdul Raheem and Abdul Azeez were arrested earlier.
A gang had abducted deceased Aboobacker in a car and had kept him under house arrest at Paivalike and brutally tortured and killed him. Later the dead body of Aboobacker was left in a car that was abandoned at the campus of a private hospital of Bandyodu and the killers had escaped from the spot.
Five more accused in the case are reportedly absconding. Police are on the lookout for them.
