Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 22: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, Jun 22, reported four new coronavirus case while Udupi registered three cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,731 out of which 44 are currently active.

The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,851.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three corona cases were reported on Jun 22, the total active Covid cases are 9.

A total of 10,87,732 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,75,006 have received both doses and 86,972 people have received booster dose.

Udupi taluk reported 0 cases, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
