May 28: Twin districts Udupi, Dakshina Kannada report nil Covid-19 cases

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 28: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, May 28, reported nil coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero case.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,592 out of which 20 are currently active.

 The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Nil corona case were reported on May 28, the total active Covid cases are two.

A total of 10,85,432 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,61,346 have received both doses and 71,736 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
