Udupi: RPF personnel saves senior citizen falling from moving train

Udupi, May 26: A senior citizen was saved in time by a RPF personnel present on railway platform at Indrali railway station on the evening of Wednesday May 25.

Kutti Kundan (70), resident of Perdoor had come to the train station at Indrali to see off his daughter to Mumbai. As he was alighting after keeping the bags, the train started moving. Kundan slipped but held on to the long iron handle at the entrance to the bogie. He was dragged for a distance of about 30 meters. RPF on duty personnel M V Sajeer who was on spot, rushed and lifted the elderly man.

Kundan suffered minor injuries. He took first aid in hospital and went home.
