Kundapur’s Anil Hegde gets elected to Rajya Sabha from Bihar

Kundapur, May 25: Anil Hegde, who hails from Salwadi has been elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Bihar.

Anil Hegde was nominated by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar following the death of sitting Rajya Sabha member Dr Mahendra Prasad.

Anil Hegde was working as a coordinator between JD(U) and the Election Commission. Anil Hegde, who is seen as a follower of George Fernandes was stationed at the JD(U) office in Patna.

Anil Hegde is related to former MP Jayaprakash Hegde.
