May 22: DK reports three Covid cases, Udupi adds zero infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 22: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday , May 22, reported three coronavirus case while Udupi registered zero infections.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,571 out of which 18 are currently active.

Five patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Zero cases was reported on Sunday. The total active Covid case have risen to two.

Zero patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday .

Udupi taluk reported 0 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,84,702 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1056836
have received both doses and 69,996 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
