Learning about the students’ financial background, Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat assured them of all assistance for their two years of PUC education in private college and also assured them of bearing all the expenses of their CET and NEET coaching as well.

He also honoured the students along with their parents. A total of five students of Udupi district have topped the charts in the SSLC exams of 2021-22 for which results were announced recently.

Yashpal Suvarna, Vice President Udupi Government Girls PU College also felicitated Gayathri, SSLC topper of Government girls PU College high school division.

He also assured to bear all the expenses of Gayathri's education. She is dreaming of becoming a cardiologist.

Speaking at the felicitation, Yashpal Suvarna said, "Our college is a ray of hope for poor girl students. Thousands of students are studying in our college. We had requested those students who were demanding hijab to be allowed to be worn not to disturb the studies of other poor students. Gayathri has proved that top quality of education was provided by our college. Communal and outside forces were criticising our college. Gayathri has given a befitting reply to all of them," he said.

Those who have scored 625/625 may not require any financial help from the politicians. But for professional courses they may require and these politicians must help in such cases.
