Mangaluru: Negligent car driver sends container with Hyundai vehicles to ditch

Mangaluru, Jan 23: A container truck transporting cars fell into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control on NH 66 in the early hours of Sunday, January 23.   

The accident took place at Kapikad near Thokkottu. A car driver's negligence led to the accident according to circumstantial evidence.

Meanwhile, a CCTV footage shows the car driver taking a sudden turn to the left without giving any signal causing the container truck driver to lose control of his vehicle.

Traffic was affected on NH 66 till the truck was lifted with a crane arranged by the Naguri traffic police station. The container truck was transporting Hyundai cars from Mumbai to Kasargod.

    driver should be rewarded for avoiding an accident..that too driving such a huge vehicle...some four wheeler drivers also drive senselessly and does not give proper indicators etc while turning which makes the life of driver tailing very difficult....but in third world countries these things are common..
