Mangaluru, Jan 15: The lockdown announced by the state government to curb the unnecessary movement of people to contain the spread of the Covid pandemic evoked a good response in the city on Saturday January 15.

The city wore a deserted look without the movement of the public. Reportedly, the people had purchased the necessary items during the weekdays due to the weekend curfew in the state, it is said.

Though the shops of essential services including vegetable, dairy, meat, and fish selling remained open, a majority of the shops were closed as the movement of people was restricted from Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 am as part of weekend curfew.

Seasonal Common flu and cold and / or Communist chinese Omicron let it come and go. So people get herd huminity. Why force lockdown and curfew? To force Boosters ?Anyway booster currently we have for Delta Strain. That's already over last year. Omicron booster only comes after March 22 as per many news reports (By that that time Omicron gone or people would get natural / herd immunity). So what is the use, only crores to BigPharma and commission to promoters and to their agents. Again With these Boosters if another deadly strain comes out it is not surprising.

The govt should say ,those who are unwell and wants stay at home ,please do so after getting a doctors certificate .The govt should ensure that he or she is taken care of for those 10 days . Govt should apply itself ..and think innovative solutions ..Announcing lockdown -Even I can do .. Number of suicide deaths has increased .. in DK And udupi .. This is all due to lockdown trauma ..Someone is unable to pay the loan EMI or a new investor has closed down is business .. All due to careless and illogical lockdowns ..Just yesterday I read an article on how India is over reacting to this pandemic by so called testing, tracing ,etc .. India has to come out with solutions that suits its poor population ..remember 50% of India still gets only under 10K a month ..if you lock them down ,it will impact livelihood.

It's only because of fear of govt dacoits on streets that people stayed indoors, they hardly care about covid. People are more worried about sula makla BJP leaders.
