Bengaluru: Fabindia buckles under BJP MP Tejasvi Surya's pressure, withdraws advertisement

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 19: Fabindia, a well-known chain dealing in traditional clothes has withdrawn its controversial advertisement, 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz'.

Bengaluru (south) MP and BJP Yuva Morcha president, Tejasvi Surya, had taken Fabindia to task through a tweet, for referring to Diwali festival as 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz', thereby projecting it as if it is a part of non-Hindu culture. He had questioned Fabindia about the models not projecting Diwali celebrations in the 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz' advertisement. Fabindia had put up an ad as above to unveil the Diwali collection of clothes it had presented on October 9 in the name, 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz'.

Mohandas Pai of Manipal Global Education has supported Tejasvi on this issue. He said that the customers should condemn the behaviour of Fabindia. He felt that companies have to respect religious festivals and stop misusing festivals backed by religious sentiments for advancing the sale of their goods.

    1. Jasn e rivaz ,means celebration of a tradition. It has nothing to do with Diwali or any muslim festival. 2. Saying Happy Diwali in any other language is not acceptable except in Hindi. ? Since when has language been associated with a religion. Earlier it was the phobia for the color Green. Now Phobia for a language. Does it not remind you about Nazi Germany of the 1930s ? Urdu is not a muslim language. It is an Indo Aryan language and used by hindus and muslims alike. 3. Abrahamisation does not occur as this is not Hebrew, Aramaic or Arabic. Maybe the BJP MP should research better. Maybe the Bangalore south MP better concentate on tetaining his seat in the next elections. He has given free publicity to FabIindia for their campaign . Both are angling for ministerial positions at the centre.

Being a Hindu ....to remind Tejasvi ...S... People who lived across the Sindhu river were called Hindus by the Persians .. Because of certain pronunciation issues by Persians called HINDUS ... SO UNITY IN DIVERSITY SHOULD BE THIS DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED LEADER’s MOTTO ...... of course won elections by getting a party ticket not individual popularity..... Various issues in Bangalore after heavy rains ..zero or no work on calamity ... Taking a stand on advt .. is easiest to show he is performing and doing his work ..

Where are we heading towards when an educated person who held top positions in Infosys and later in Manipal Group stoops to the level of a immature politician half his age & seconds his views on Twitter conveniently forgetting that he is a product of the renowned Jesuit institutions that groomed him and made him what he achieved today. We understand the half baked taking offence at anything to do with Islam including the rich Persian culture and language. Mr. Surya the young brat is known for his radical and immature views only aim to rise in the party that thrives on divisiveness, The recent writings of Mohandas show he has lost his bearings and self interest has blinded his otherwise earlier good vision for the betterment of society. India is heading towards disaster on all fronts under the present dispensation, we expect people like Mohandas to stand up and enlighten the Andy bhakths.

The strategy is -- put minimum effort and get max publicity - otherwise sit / watch the tamasha -- where is the remorse for migrants walking -- oxygen shortages - vaccines mess - even today for all the publicity only 20 % fully vaccinated-- Speeches by his affiliates that all muslim nations coming together to make India islamic- whereas fact is inviting gulf countries for investments - ( nothing wrong - support investment but only on mindset and false narratives) UP -- his party's ministers son -- ramming thru ' killing innocents - other atrocities on women - KASHMIR - QUAGMIRE despite art 370 removal -- CHINA occupying vast areas along northeast - Economy -- FUEL PRICES UNPRECENDENTED HIKES - STEEL etc - commodities - no answers - so a not very relevant ADVT is like a very great insult -- analyse in detail one has very many versions - ONLY MYOPIC - appealing to lowest common denominator is the strategy --
