Oct 15: DK reports 36 corona cases, one death; Udupi adds 14 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 15: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, October 15 reported 36 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.49%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 19,87,788 samples have been tested so far, out of which 18,72,758 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,15,030 out of which 359 are currently active.

As many as 49 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 112996.

The death in the district on Friday is one. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,675.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,15,070 in fines for 88,223 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,80,400 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 14 new cases were reported on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 76,564 out of which 85 are currently active.

A total of 9 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 76,005 for the second wave.
