Mangaluru, Oct 14: Personnel of Pandeshwar women police station arrested Mohammed Farooq (47), district manager of Dakshina Kannada Minority Development Corporation on the accusation of sexually harassing a woman colleague.

Victim of the incident is a 19-year-old girl, who was working in the office of District Minority Development Corporation. The accused used to harass her and pressurize to send her nude photos on WhatsApp. However, the girl did not budge and maintained a distance from the accused. However, Mohammed molested the girl recently. The girl left the job and filed a complaint at the women police station.

Police arrested Mohammed Farooq on the night of Wednesday October 13 based on the complaint filed by the victim girl.

A case under IPC 354a, 364d and 506 is slapped against him. The girl was working in the office at Pandeshwar on contract basis.
