Koppal: ‘But for RSS, several Pakistans would have been born’ - Jagadish Shettar

Daijiworld Media Network - Koppal (SP)

Koppal, Oct 14: Joining the debate about the relevance of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), former Karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar, has supported it. He stressed the need for the existence of RSS.

Speaking here on Wednesday October 13, Shettar compared RSS to a huge banyan tree. "Former chief ministers, Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy have been vying with each other in passing criticisms about the RSS. He said that this will harm these people themselves. He challenged these two leaders to reveal whether they are in favour of the Taliban or against it.

He compared the comment made by Kumaraswamy about RSS to a hit and run case. "Kumaraswamy has always behaved this way. He says something initially and then confesses about him being wrong. Shettar stressed that if RSS is not in existence, at least four to five Pakistans would have been born.

The RSS foundation is itself based on false assumptions. Shettar and his ilk lack the brains to do independent analysis and merely parrot opinion thrown about by the RSS. RSS has zero contribution in the country's gaining independence - it is a useless grouping of self-important cowards and bullies.

The RSS before the 2014 elections claimed that they are a social organisation. The seven years of BJP rue has shown the RSS as Power Hungry as the BJP Politicians. Shettar reaction to any talk about the RSS is typical BJP response to compare it with Taliban.

Politicians always have selective amnesia as far as history is concerned. RSS was supporting British Rule is a known fact. They had formed govt in undivided Bengal as allies with Muslim League of Jinnah, They had opposed Quit India Movement of Gandhi, and shocking reality is they wanted to divide the nation when then congress wasn't ready for that. Finally BJP is only a ruling party as long as they can blame the minorities & project them as enemies like Hitler did about Jews. The diversions like conversions, taliban, pakis etc are used to take peoples attention away from high inflation, fuel loot & failed governance of 7 years & all promises are now jumlas.. Unless people belonging to majority community realize their mistake in supporting these corrupt politicians who enrich themselves by whipping up communal passion to get votes & are never interested in welfare of them & their future generations these things will continue.

RSS in its old form, was equally religiously fanatic as it is today but could not prevent divsion of India in 1947, that created pakistan. RSS did not had any say in Governance till 2014 and been politically irrelevant. So, for the past 70yrs, no new pakistan's were born. If RSS thinks after 2014, there are chances of division of India further, it could be possible, because it is in governance today. State of Jammu and Kashmir has been divided into three parts already as union territories. So, there must be something in RSS minds.

"RSS" is becoming like the "religious body" of the Islamic nations. Saudi Arabia is slowly dismantling the Religious authority. But in India is other way around.

"He challenged these two leaders to reveal whether they are in favour of the Taliban or against it." Mr Shettar feels lot of similarity between taliban and RSS... that is why he is focussing on these two organisations in his speech...
