Oct 11: DK reports 38 corona cases, Udupi adds 15 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 11: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, October 11 reported 38 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.59%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 19,57,237 samples have been tested so far, out of which 18,42,345 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,14,892 out of which 445 are currently active.

As many as 90 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 112777.

The death in the district on Monday is nil. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,670.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,10,970 in fines for 88,182 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,67,333 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 15 new cases were reported on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 76,514 out of which 90 are currently active.

A total of 17 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 75,950 for the second wave.

The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 284 lives in the district.
