Udupi: No place for illegal immigrants in Karnataka or India' - Home minister

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD)

Udupi, Oct 9: "There is no free accommodation for illegal immigrants in Karnataka or India. At times bombs were blasting like fire crackers in India, but due a strong central government and its agencies, everything is under control," said Araga Jnanendra, state home minister.

He was speaking at a stage function after inaugurating the newly built police quarters here in Udupi on Saturday October 9.

Speaking about the illegal residents in the state, the minister said, "We have received information about a racket in which people from Bangladesh are sent to India, providing them with Aadhar card and other necessary documents. These rackets will be busted by able police officers. We are now able to track the location of satellite phone usage even though used in deep jungles. India is the only place where all the religions are living in peace. Religious conversions will not be tolerated. There are instances of fights within the family over religious conversions. These rackets should be traced and stopped.”

Later, speaking to media he said, "The cow slaughter act in the state has not failed. The continued incidents in the twin districts are leading to tension. In the current bill relating to religious conversion, it does not allow any sort of religious conversions. The central government will be kept in loop with the state police to trace usage of satellite phones. As It is a matter of national security. I am unable to reveal more information.”

Responding to the rape of a minor in Bantwal, the minister said, "A complaint is filed about the rape of a minor girl in Bantwal. Police have already arrested some accused regarding the case. The government will not tolerate any rape incidents. Strict action will be taken.”

Responding to H D Kumaraswamy’s statement about RSS, he said, "Both Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy know what RSS is. They are trying to please a community for their vote banks. I belong to the RSS. The nation’s President and Prime Minister both are from the RSS. People have chosen us. There is a competition between Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy to please a particular community.”
