This is the best news of the day. Ponds and lakes need to be rejuvenated so the water table can sustain. Very good initiative by MUDA. But sad to see some people just criticize and comment for the sake of time pass.

Looks like they missed one important part which is adding a fountain which helps to generate oxygen and keep the lake water clean. For larger lakes, 2 or more fountains may be needed. There are different kinds of fountains with different capacities. Some come even with underwater lights which looks pretty during night time. Walking path along the lake, few shade trees and may be children playscapes will attract people to visit frequently. Also, post warning sign that shows not to litter, drink alcohol besides making it a no smoking area.

River banks should be left untouched. Wherever they build roads near river, people dump garbage into the river and marine life starts disappearing. This has already happened near Kulur ring road. So leave the rivers to themselves. Dont bring people and development near them.

It was very encouraging news. It will be great if MUDA tie up with the corporate companies to maintain those ponds with floral beds aroundthepond, pond fish managed by the College of Fisheries and the green patches for picnic managed by the MCC. Moreover increase the depth of the ponds for better capacity.
