Bengaluru, Sep 25: Karnataka on Saturday September 25 continued to maintain a steady rate in the number of new coronavirus cases, with the state reporting 787 infections.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 13,307. Among the districts, Bengaluru Urban registered the highest number of single-day cases with 276 new infections, while Dakshina Kannada reported 127 new cases.

Eleven deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Saturday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording four fatalities. With this, the toll so far has risen to 37,717.

The state recorded 775 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 29,21,567.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,72,620 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.55%, while the case fatality rate for the day was also 1.39%.

As many as 5,45,35,436 people have received vaccination so far.
