Udupi: Alleged police brutality - Cong worker booked for deterring cops from discharging duty

Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala

Karkala, Jul 9: A case has been filed at Karkala police station against Radhakrishna Nayak Hirgan under section 353 on the charges of deterring public servants from discharging duty.

It may be recalled that on Thursday, July 8 when Radhakrishna was called for an enquiry at the police station he had alleged assault by Karkala police sub-inspector, Madhu.

Back in September 2020, When PSI Madhu requested Radhakrishna to be seated in a chair he disagreed and began explaining himself. He told about how a fake Facebook profile was created and derogatory posts against the army were posted through that handle. Hirgan also complained about the same in the Gangammagudi police station in Bengaluru.

When asked about the complaint copy, Radhakrishna started to raise his voice and denied giving any statement about the case, therefore deterring a public servant from discharging duty.

this is a clear case of BJP high handedness in the case..if the person had obstructed them from carrying out duty, why the case was not slapped on him initially? only after he got admitted into the hospital and brought the brutality of the saffron supported PSI in public, the khaki have put a case at the behest of bacchali party.

From now on story time from our police to cover up their lapses or atrocities, what a silly FIR after their illegal assault on unarmed civilian inside their police station. He can only be accused of lieing or misleading them at most.

Still police have no right to assault anyone within law. Person responsible should be charged as well. Politicians should keep out of this.

Does it justify the police brutality? Why cant the police learn to act according to law? Or does it only want to act as the government's terror organization being paid for by the taxpayers?
