Mangaluru, Jun 23: In an exemplary gesture of humanity, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary shifted an injured woman home guard staff to hospital in his car, after she met with an accident near Vijay Sannidhi Junction in Mulki on Wednesday June 23.
It is said that home guard staff Renuka, attached to the Mulki police station was going home for lunch in her Honda Activa scooter when the mishap took place. She lost control over the two-wheeler and collided with a TATA Ace vehicle.
Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary who noticed this while traveling in his car on the national highway, shifted the injured constable to Saint Ann’s Hospital in Mulki in his car.
The home guard sustained minor injuries on her forehead and left leg.
