Mumbai: Minor escapes from hospital - Enquiry against two cops

Mumbai, Jun 12: An inquiry has been launched against two lady cops after a 12 year old destitute girl escaped from Sion hospital under the custody of the two cops.

According to the police, the minor girl was rescued by the railway police and was sent to Manav Seva Sangh at Sion. However, as the victim was below 12 years of age, the Child Welfare Committee asked the Sion cops to keep her in the children's home at Umarkhadi.

The two lady constables from Sion police took her for a medical check at Sion hospital on Thursday, June 11 when the victim escaped, the police said
