Mangaluru: NSS unit of Dr Shankar PU College distributes ration kits

Mangaluru, May 22: The NSS unit of Dr Shankar PU College distributed ration kits to the needy affected by the lockdown.

The principal of the college Dr Naveen Shetty K speaking on the occasion said, “Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, many people do not have jobs and are struggling for one square meal. Hence, the NSS unit of our college has come forward to provide ration sufficient for a week. The kits consist of rice, vegetables and grocery items.” He also recalled that during the previous lockdown, similar kits were distributed among the needy.

The programme was attended by NSS programme officer Sandhya, assistant programme officer Meera Crasta and NSS students of the college.
