Kasargod: Pugmarks of wild animal in residential vicinity found, locals raise alarm

Kasargod, May 14: People in Badiyadka, Yethadka are living in panic after they found pugmarks of an animal. It is also said that an animal has attacked two dogs in the vicinity.
 
According to experts, it is suspected that it might be pugmarks of a leopard or a tiger. But, this is yet to be ascertained. The forest officials who rushed to the spot, have collected information on the matter.
 
It is said that when Umesh from Pallathadka came out from his house after hearing the screaming of the dog, during the wee hours of the day. He admitted to discovering an animal fleeing from the spot.
 
 
After this incident, the unidentified animal has attacked another dog in the vicinity. The officials have confirmed that pugmarks resemble that of a tiger.
 
The forest officials have decided to keep a lookout for the animal for a couple of days.
