If the situation is so bad in Mumbai why cannot congress govt in Maharashtra listen to Rahul and congress leaders like Siddaramiah and implement their pet schemes of giving money and free food grains to people of Maharashtra.

Condition in Mangalore is something different from Mumbai or any place in India kya?? Appears like a retired government pensioner or after a long and lucrative stint in the Gulf! What most are commenting on is the condition of the Middle class most of whom who are working with the informal sector! Only in DK & Udipi more than 6000 hotel employees are jobless; how will they survive, same with all other sectors too! When the government itself is neck deep in debt what sort of aid do you expect from them?

I was thinking you were talking of Mumbai, have you been in mangalore recently and observed how people were holding lavish weddings and parties, despite of the Chinese virus. You think all the people have become rich over night, they have worked hard so they can have a comfortable life style, none of the mangalorean christian community, live on government aid or beg for food or money.

Very true Jossie; the ground level situation is very pathetic; those working in informal sector, MSMEs, most businesses, restaurants are in very big financial crisis; most with loans are buying time to escape being hounded by recovery agents! Most middle class families have lost their precious gold ornaments as they're not able to release them due to severe paucity of funds; yesterday there was a full 2 page ad in leading dailies of auction of gold ornaments ranging from 1500₹ to 3L₹ from defaulting customers; I have never seen such a big default auction in my life from a single gold loan company? Fuel, edible oil, grocery prices are at all time highs! There's no place to hide for the common man; considering all this, there is bound to be a quantum jump in looting, burglary, and fraud/cheating cases!

Because of such incidents, the word trust is disappearing from people's heart. Now a days, we have to cross check every unknown person so many times before giving them water or food or buying things etc etc
